Shicheng Yongning Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the Jiangxi Provincial level.

Yongning Bridge is a provincial-level cultural heritage site. Located at the Shangbaichang water outlet in Yanling Management Area, Gaotian Town, Shicheng County, about 60 kilometers from the county seat, Yongning Bridge is a typical pavilion-style tile bridge. The bridge body is built with granite stones, featuring a single arch that spans across the stream. It is 30 meters long, 5.3 meters wide, and has a span of 10.6 meters. The bridge was first constructed in the third year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1738). In the fifth year of the Tongzhi reign (1866), a pavilion was added on the bridge, enshrining a statue of Guan Yu. The pavilion is divided into five sections, with the central section being the highest and the two sides gradually descending. The middle section houses a temple, while the sides are equipped with wooden railings and benches for people to rest. The bridge structure is solid and the design is simple and classic, representing a unique architectural style found in the mountainous regions of southern China.

The combined style of corridor and bridge is rare within the province and is the only one remaining in our county. In July 2000, it was announced as part of the fourth batch of Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites.

Gaotian Town: I. Overview

Gaotian Town (including the former Yanling Township) is located in the northeastern part of Shicheng County, approximately 27 kilometers from the county seat. To the northwest it borders Mulan Township, to the north it connects with Tangfang Township of Guangchang County, to the east it faces Helong Township of Ninghua County in Fujian Province, and to the southwest it neighbors Fengshan Township and Jicun Township of Ninghua County in Fujian Province. The total area of the town is 23,780 hectares. The terrain within the town slopes from high in the northeast to low in the southwest, with the highest point being Yashu Mountain at an elevation of 1,387.3 meters, and the lowest point being Yaokou at 280 meters above sea level.
