Win-win cooperation between the two regions to enhance the quality of Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism

Under the blessing of auspicious clouds lies a paradise on earth. Xinjiang and Tibet boast abundant tourism resources, and the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway is like a string of pearls connecting the most beautiful scenery of the motherland’s frontier. As the starting point of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway at zero kilometers, Yecheng County is actively developing “specialty tourism” service offerings and is committed to elevating the tourism brand of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway. In 2017, the Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Yecheng County and the Ali Prefecture Tourism Development Bureau signed an agreement to officially advance the marketing and development of Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism. Over the past three years, the two regions have actively expanded their source markets and developed “specialty tourism” products.

In June and August of this year, the Yecheng–Xinjiang-Tibet Highway “Most Beautiful Starry Sky Journey” premium photography self-driving tour and the G219 Xinjiang–Lhasa Natural Scenery In-depth Self-Driving Tour, organized by the Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Yecheng County and the Shanghai Promotion Service Center for Xinjiang Tourism & Shanghai Travel Network Travel Service Co., Ltd., are set to depart. These two events mark the standardization and regularization of Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism products.

Professional guest sharing delivers positive insights on Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism

At the promotion event, Mr. Sun Liang, head of Xinjiang Aike Captain Tourism Development Co., Ltd., gave a comprehensive introduction to Yecheng’s tourism resources, folk culture, transportation, and cuisine. The Xitya Lost City scenic area he operates has now become the “Base Camp of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway,” featuring supporting services such as gourmet food, scenic views, song and dance entertainment, inn accommodation, and RV campsites. The public-welfare oriented “Xinjiang-Tibet ‘Benefit’ Station” is also nearing completion. Yecheng’s tourist attractions, represented by Xitya Lost City, are contributing to the enhancement of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism brand with excellent services. Today’s Xinjiang-Tibet Highway is a legendary destination that attracts adventurers from far and wide, and also a prime choice for boosting the regional economy. It plays a significant role in the development of “specialty tourism,” accelerating economic growth in surrounding areas, and uplifting underprivileged communities.

Deepening industrial cooperation to achieve the upgrade of Xinjiang-Tibet Highway tourism

At this promotion event, Yecheng tourism enterprises also signed a framework agreement on industrial cooperation in Yecheng’s “specialty tourism” sector with well-known travel agencies in Lhasa. The signing of this agreement signals deeper exchanges and collaboration among industries in the future, with multiple parties jointly developing tourism products along the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway.

Regarding the development of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway, Yecheng County will take the lead in improving the construction of supporting facilities along the route, gradually introducing social forces, and providing substantial preferential policies to jointly promote the sound and sustainable development of tourism in Yecheng and along the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway.
