Jingsi Temple is located in Da’yanli, Qiukou Village, Pingshan Town, Shicheng. The ancient name of Da’yan was Cengfengyan, a large cave that is spacious and cool inside, making it suitable for habitation. In 1950, Master Guanglin came here alone to build a hut and reside, practicing meditation and worshipping the Buddha. Before long, monks and lay followers heard of it and flocked here, and the temple became widely renowned. During the Cultural Revolution, the cave temple was sealed off, and Master Guanglin led his disciples elsewhere. In 1980, he returned with his disciples to the temple, adding a Dharma hall and monastic quarters, and the incense offerings at the temple grew day by day. In 1995, with strong support from devotees in Hong Kong, a high-standard Mahavira Hall and other facilities were built again, gradually achieving the scale of a medium-sized temple. The environment is very serene, and there is a cement road leading directly to the cave temple, making it a famous destination in Shicheng for tourism and Buddhist worship.
