The site is located in Meifu Village, Qinqjiang Town, commonly known as the "Bauhinia Mountain House." The central part is the ancestral hall of the Huang family, with wing rooms on both sides. It is a brick-and-wood structure built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty and is a typical example of traditional Hakka dwellings in southern Jiangxi. It covers a land area of 2,086 square meters and a building area of 3,577.39 square meters.

In the winter of 1931, the Fourth Red Army was ordered to eliminate the White strongholds in Shicheng. Participating units included the 10th, 11th, and 12th Divisions of the Fourth Red Army, while the troops from the Ningdu Uprising were also sent to Shicheng for reorganization and training. To support the military operations and training, the hospital of the Red First Army Corps was stationed here. During this period, it treated nearly 2,000 wounded soldiers and provided medical care to nearly 1,000 local residents. It also worked with the Shicheng County Soviet Government to carry out medical assistance and health education for the public.

A large number of Red Army slogans are preserved at the site. This former site holds significant value for the study of the history of the Red First Army Corps and the revolutionary history of the Soviet Area. It was designated as part of the sixth batch of cultural relic protection units of Jiangxi Province in March 2018.
