The site is located at Citangping in Dancun Village, Xiaosong Town. It comprises the Li Family Ancestral Hall, Xu Clan Ancestral Hall, and Xu Family Temple. All were built during the Qing Dynasty in the architectural style of Hakka ancestral halls, featuring brick-and-wood structures and covering an area of over 3,000 square meters.

In late August 1934, the Young Communist International Brigade (the 15th Division of the First Red Army Corps), ordered to participate in the Shicheng Blocking Battle, was deployed in the Tongjiang and Danxi areas of Xiaosong to assist the Third Red Army Corps in blocking the advance of the Nationalist Northern Army. The headquarters of the Young Communist International Brigade was stationed here and set up a command post. On September 26, 1934, the Shicheng Blocking Battle officially began and successfully concluded on October 6. The brigade then withdrew from northern Shicheng to Zhukeng and Hengjiang in southern Shicheng for regrouping and rest. On the 9th and 10th, they departed from their station and arrived at Duanwu and Kuantian in Yudu on the 16th.

The preservation of this site holds significant historical value for the study of the Red Army’s Long March and revolutionary activities in the Soviet Area. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of cultural relic protection units of Jiangxi Province (Document No. [2018]4 issued by the Jiangxi Provincial Government).

Dancun Village: Dancun Village is located in the northeast of Xiaosong Town, approximately 8 kilometers from the town government. The village covers a total area of 22.5 square kilometers, including 3,601 mu of arable land and 16,600 mu of mountainous land (over 6,000 mu of which is used for growing oil tea, eucalyptus, and camphor trees through land transfer). In 2014, it had 26 villager groups and 49 natural villages, with a total of 828 households and a population of 3,649. The village has 47 CPC members, including 5 female members.
