Shipu Seaside Park

　The seaside park is located along the shore of Shipu Fishing Port Middle Road. It has a long, narrow layout and was built in 1991.

The park contains multiple buildings. In the center of the park stands a statue of Nie Er, the composer of the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China. He is dressed in a suit and holds a violin, as if performing a “New Fishermen’s Song” for the people of Shipu. In September 1933, the renowned musician Nie Er, along with director Cai Chusheng, actress Wang Renmei, and director Sang Hu, came to Shipu to shoot exteriors for the film “Fishermen’s Song.” They stayed for over a month and took a commemorative group photo. To honor this celebrated composer, the people of Shipu erected this sculpture in January 1990.

Not far from the statue stands the Haixian Pavilion, which features an elegant and distinctive design that blends traditional and modern elements. The roof is surrounded by seven porthole-style windows and railings, giving the entire structure the appearance of the command deck of a large warship. Inside the pavilion, there is a color photo printing service center and a karaoke lounge, providing photography and entertainment services for visitors. At the back of the park stands a group of harbor-themed sculptures titled “Abundance Year After Year,” consisting of three pieces: “Sail,” “Catch,” and “Fishergirl,” symbolizing the smooth sailing and prosperity of the people of Shipu.

The entire seaside park is lush with flowers and green trees, offering a delightful and refreshing scene. Stone benches and chairs are placed throughout the park, and protective railings line the seaside. Standing facing the ocean, one can see sparkling waves, masts clustered together, seagulls flying, and the sound of ship horns—evoking a majestic and stirring feeling. Especially on summer nights, the park is bathed in dappled tree shadows, fragrant blooms, bright moonlight, and melodious singing; while gentle sea breezes and the sound of waves make it a perfect destination for escaping the heat and enjoying the cool.
