Xiangshan Film and Television City is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in the Datanggang Ecotourism Area of Xinqiao Town, Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province, the film city uses Lingyan Mountain as its grand backdrop. The overall architecture is rich in Song Dynasty style, ingeniously integrating local natural landscapes such as mountains, rocks, caves, water, and forests. It mainly consists of five major scenic areas: the Gate Square Area, Village Street Workshop Area, Tomb Mansion Cave Area, Manor Lake Area, and Shop & Residence Area, combining film culture with tourism and leisure. Within the city, iconic attractions such as the majestic Xiangyang City, the mysterious Living Dead Cave, the elegant and secluded Guiyun Manor, the enchanting and fantastical Cliffs of Love, and the lush banyan tree grove all feature unique styles and creative designs. The city offers both lake and mountain views, pavilions and towers, ravines and caves, as well as ancient streets from the Song Dynasty, immersing visitors effortlessly into a wuxia ambiance. "The Return of the Condor Heroes" was the first TV drama filmed at Xiangshan Film and Television City.

"Attraction Performances"

1. "The Hero Assembly of The Return of the Condor Heroes" – Location: Inside Xiangyang City

During the Song Dynasty, when Mongolian troops invaded the Central Plains, our great Song general Guo Jing, the Defender of Xiangyang, held them off. However, the Mongolian prince Huodu cunningly assassinated the leader of the Beggar’s Sect, Lu Youjiao, and seized their sacred weapon — the Dog Beating Staff. He sought to unify the Beggar’s Sect before launching a successful invasion of the Central Plains. Guo Jing and Huang Rong held a Hero Assembly. Since the former sect leader, Huang Rong, had to stay behind to defend the city with her husband and could no longer serve as sect leader, they aimed to select a highly skilled individual to become the new leader.

2. "Xiangyang Imperial Examination" – Location: Xiangyang County Government Office

(Drums begin to beat, gongs sound, soldiers clear the way, and the grand marshal steps up to the central platform)

Everyone, today marks the annual imperial examination in Xiangyang City of the great Song Dynasty. All knowledgeable individuals from across the land are welcome to participate—regardless of gender, age, or background. There is no registration fee. Winners of the top scholarly title will be rewarded, and those who don’t win prizes too.

3. "Guo Jing Recruiting Heroes" – Location: Inside Xiangyang City

Defending Xiangyang City is a weighty responsibility. General Guo Jing has safeguarded the city for thirty years without fail. Known for his generosity and sense of justice, he has recruited virtuous defenders to protect the city, establishing immortal merits for safeguarding the Song Dynasty.

4. "Splendid Xiangyang" – Location: Yichun Courtyard in Xiangyang City

A large-scale song and dance drama composed of four parts: "The Sentiment of Xiangyang," "Man Jiang Hong," "Jade Maiden Sutra," and "Defend Our Xiangyang." Xiangyang, a key military stronghold in North Song China, was attacked by the Mongolian army over fifty times over the course of more than ten years. Thanks to the united efforts of the citizens, soldiers, and martial heroes within the city, the Song Dynasty territory was protected and the invaders were held off for a long time.
