Guide: Nanyi Hot Springs is nestled in the secluded valley of Tianming Mountain in the northwest of Ninghai County, 25 kilometers from the county town and 100 kilometers from downtown Ningbo. Introduction: Surrounded by the famous Tiantai Mountain and Siming Mountain, Nanyi Hot Springs boasts year-round lush green mountains, clear waters, and bubbling streams. Tests have shown that the geothermal water in this area is not only abundant in volume, with moderate temperatures, but also crystal clear and of high quality, containing various trace elements. People often feel their skin nourished and mood alleviated after bathing. It has significant therapeutic effects on various skin diseases, arthritis, as well as neurological, digestive, and cardiovascular conditions. The summer here is 3–5°C cooler than in Hangzhou and Ningbo, making it a rare destination in East China for tourism, summer retreat, convalescence, vacation, and leisure. Nanyi Hot Springs is divided into four scenic areas, centered around Wolong Valley, with Xianren Valley to the northwest, Wenying Valley to the southwest, and Jinxiu Valley to the southeast, covering a total area of 6.42 square kilometers. Within these four scenic areas, there are three pools, nine waterfalls, eighteen streams, and seventy-two peaks. Tip: The ideal water temperature for soaking before bedtime is around 38°C, which helps with sleep, while the best morning soaking temperature is 41°C, leaving you feeling refreshed. The optimal soaking time is 15 to 20 minutes. Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: The Ninghai Hot Spring Grand Hotel in the central scenic area of the温泉 forest park is a great choice, offering each room a complimentary coupon for two hot spring entries. Transportation: Take a long-distance bus from Ningbo South Bus Station to Ninghai, get off at Meilin, and then transfer to a minibus heading to Nanyi Forest Farm. Alternatively, take a private car from Meilin, which costs about 35 yuan one way. By car: Starting from Shanghai, take the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, then switch to the Yong-Tai-Wen Expressway (also known as the Tong-San Expressway) after reaching Ningbo. Exit at either the Ninghai or Xiangshan exit in Ninghai, turn around and head toward Shenquan Town, continue past Shenquan Town toward the hot springs, and arrive in just a few minutes. Or, take an earlier exit, get off at Xidian after exiting the highway, and drive straight for about 20 minutes to reach Ninghai Hot Springs. The entire trip takes approximately five hours, with toll fees around 200 yuan.
