Xiangshan Qingfeng Bridge

Xiangshan Qingfeng Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Xiangshan County.

According to the Zhang Family Genealogy of Che Ling, the bridge was originally built before the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty as a wooden structure with three to five rooms on top. It was destroyed by floods twice and rebuilt each time. The existing three-arch bridge is 0.4 meters wide on both sides, paved with stone slabs. The piers are 2.85 meters high and constructed from cut stones. The bridge deck is supported by stone beams on both sides, with stone railings installed along the edges. The stone railings consist of three slabs on each side, each 44 centimeters high and 16 centimeters thick, with carvings of qilin, phoenixes, flowers, and birds on the inner sides. On the outside of the middle railing slab on the eastern side is engraved the name “Qingfeng Bridge.” Between the railings stand stone pillars, 72 centimeters high. The tops of the end pillars are adorned with lotus designs, while the middle pillars feature a stone lion on one side and a stone elephant on the other—both vividly carved and exquisitely detailed.
