Martyr Wang Jiamo’s Tomb
Martyr Wang Jiamo’s Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Xiangshan County and a classic red tourism site.
Wang Jiamo (1906–1927), nicknamed Xiaoman. After joining the revolution, he often used aliases such as Jiamo, Yizheng, and Jialun. He was from Xiqiaotou in Dan Town. In January 1925, he joined the Chinese Communist Party and was responsible for organizational work within the Party branch. Using his position as an elementary school teacher as a cover, he organized the “Ming Society,” published the “Ming Newspaper,” and participated in the establishment of the youth-oriented peripheral organization “Youth Recreation Society.” In October 1925, he was elected as the organizational committee member of the Ningbo Regional Committee of the CCP, later serving as the regional committee secretary. After the “April 12” counter-revolutionary coup, he was transferred to serve as the head of the Organization Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CCP. In August, he was appointed acting secretary of the provincial committee. In October, he served as the director of the “Zhedong Uprising Committee.” On November 12, he went to Wenzhou to organize an uprising but was arrested by reactionary Kuomintang forces. He was executed on November 18 on Shihu Mountain outside the eastern gate of Wenzhou. His remains were transported back to Xiangshan by his mother.
The tomb faces north and is enclosed by a fence made of rough stones. The gravestone stands two meters tall, 78 centimeters wide, and seven centimeters thick, inscribed with “Tomb of Martyr Wang Jiamo.” It was erected by the People’s Government of Xiangshan County in 1983.

At just 13 years old during the May Fourth Movement, he took to the streets to participate in patriotic activities and even served as the person in charge of the “Foreign Goods Inspection Station” set up by the “Xiangshan Student Federation.” In 1925, he helped plan and establish the inter-sectoral “May Thirtieth Incident Diplomatic Support Association” in Xiangshan, leading mass struggles. In October, he served as the organizational committee member of the Xiangshan Branch of the Communist Youth League.
