Rui’an Bridge

Rui’an Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by Xiangshan County.

Rui’an Bridge is located at the entrance of Fangji’ao Village, Qiangtou Town, Xiangshan County. Built in the ninth year of the Tongzhi era (1870), it is the largest single-arch stone bridge in the county, measuring 11.05 meters in length, 4.45 meters in width, with a rise of 5.195 meters and a span of 9.35 meters. The arch is constructed from irregularly laid stones, while the bridge deck is paved with cobblestones, featuring decorative patterns in the center. The bridge is edged with block stones as railings. At the northern approach to the bridge stands a stone stele that details the history of its renovation. On October 30, 2007, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Xiangshan County-level cultural heritage protection units.
