Xizha Natural Dye Workshop
A large-scale workshop for handmade, eco-friendly printing, dyeing, and fabric drying. Covering an area of 2,500 square meters, the dye-drying yard is paved with blue bricks and features densely arranged tall poles and tiered drying racks, making it quite expansive.
In addition to producing blue calico using indigo plants, the Natural Dye Workshop also has a unique color-baking process. The colors are rich and extracted from local plant materials such as tea leaves, mulberry bark, and Chinese tallow tree leaves—hence the workshop is locally known as the Natural Dye Workshop.
