Yunlin’s 35-hectare mega flower sea avoids the crowds – don’t miss the romantic European-style painted wall tucked away in the alleys, a must-photo spot

Make the most of your holiday by admiring flowers everywhere this year. This year’s Yunlin? Tongxiang Hesha Li Flower Sea Festival has quietly blossomed, with vibrant displays of pink, yellow, and white cosmos flowers creating a magnificent sea of color. The main flower sea area also features a “flower viewing platform,” allowing visitors to climb up and enjoy panoramic views of the 35-hectare flower sea.

Without large exhibitions or installations, what you’ll find here is an endless expanse of flower sea – the simple, pastoral scenery is the greatest charm of Tongxiang Township. Local farmers have planted their fallow land with five-color cosmos flowers, sunflowers, and other blooms, beautifying the town and attracting large numbers of flower-loving tourists every year, boosting local tourism. This year’s theme is a “carpet of cosmos flowers,” and many flower fields have already begun to bloom quietly, expected to flourish even more splendidly during the holiday period.

In addition to flower viewing and photos in Hesha Li, the hidden gem of a painted wall is another unmissable photo spot. Local artist Huang Yanzhen, skilled in floral art, used optical illusion techniques to transform the wall into a romantic European scene straight out of a postcard. Beyond the landscape paintings, the painted cat on the wall is incredibly lifelike, with its big eyes and fur making it look like a real cat perched by the window.
