● Flower Fields Every year, Yunlin County’s Dapi Township launches creative flower field events that leave a deep impression. This year, Yunlin County has once again partnered with the Dapi Township Farmers’ Association to create a beautiful flower display in the Hesali Community of Dapi, set to debut on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Themed “2015 Cloudy Love in Yunlin – Hokkaido Edition,” the event combines local specialties and features six themed zones under the concept “Secret Recipes for Happiness.” Installation art such as torii gates and cherry blossom trees add a strong Japanese vibe.

◎ 2015 Tainan Flower Festival

In addition to the original venues in Xinying District’s Nanying Green Heart and Jiali District’s Jiali Park, this year’s flower festival has expanded to include Liujia Multi-Purpose Sports Park and Xigang Central Park to promote the “One District, One Park” initiative. Six parks in total, including South District’s Shuiping Park and Shuijiao She Park, will host the event over 20 days. The festival is designed around “Four Major Themes: Lifestyle & Cultural Creativity – Fondness for Tainan; Food & Historic Capital – Gastronomy in Tainan; Industrial Features – Fun in Tainan; and Canal Technology Art – Artistic Tainan.” A cute little sheep holding a sign is installed at the entrance as a Year of the Sheep-themed highlight to leave a memorable impression on visitors.

[Info] From February 19 to March 1, 2015 (11 days), in line with the Year of the Sheep theme, Xizhou Park’s 800-ping indoor main exhibition hall is divided into six zones: Three Rams Bring Prosperity, Holding Heads High, Joyful Celebrations, Springtime Elegance, Talented & Radiant, and Good Fortune in the Year of the Sheep—ensuring all visitors leave with joy.
