Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay Wetland Park is located on the eastern part of Yueqing Bay, by the shores of Xuanmen Bay, facing the Yandang Mountains across the sea. It spans four towns—Chumen, Qinggang, Lupu, and Longxi—as well as Haishan Township. The park has a planned total area of 31.48 square kilometers, including 7.06 square kilometers of shallow shoals and tidal flats, 16 square kilometers of freshwater bodies, and a wetland coverage rate of 73.25%. The Xuanmen Bay Wetland consists of a combination of nine types within four categories of wetland resources: nearshore and coastal wetlands, riverine wetlands, marsh wetlands, and artificial wetlands. It features a rich and typical variety of wetland types. In September 2008, it became the only national-level water conservancy scenic area among national land reclamation projects; in December 2011, it was approved by the National Forestry Administration as a pilot construction unit for a national wetland park and was awarded the title of "China's Best Ecological Protection Wetland"; in June 2012, it was listed as an ecological civilization education base of Zhejiang Province; and in June 2013, it was included in the first group of national social practice bases for environmental education in primary and secondary schools. The park is home to 137 species of birds and 475 species of wild and cultivated plants, including 15 plants listed in the National Key Protected Wild Plants List and 31 bird species under provincial-level or higher protection. It serves as one of the most important wintering grounds in China for the globally endangered black-faced spoonbill and Saunders's gull. The wetland park is divided into five functional zones: ecological conservation, restoration and reconstruction, science education and publicity, rational utilization, and management services.

Guided by the principles of "protection first, scientific restoration, rational utilization, and sustainable development," Yuhuan Xuanmen Bay National Wetland Park aims to build a healthy wetland ecosystem, abundant landscape resources, beautiful natural surroundings, comprehensive science education facilities, and superior leisure and recreational conditions. Fully implementing the concept of sustainable development, the park strives to ensure the coordinated progress of ecology, environment, and society, and aspires to become a model coastal wetland park along China’s southeastern coast.
