The Longwan Coastal Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

A national AAA-level scenic spot—Longwan Coastal Scenic Area in Linhai City is located along the beautiful eastern coastline of the city. It lies 50 kilometers from the Jiangnan Great Wall in the urban area, 20 kilometers from downtown Taizhou, and next to the nationally protected cultural site—the ancient military town of Taozhu. It is a key component of the Linhai Taozhu National Geopark and the Taozhu Provincial Scenic Area, and also the only seaside bathing beach in Taizhou City. Covering an area of approximately 15 square kilometers, the scenic zone is surrounded by lush green mountains on three sides, features a 300-acre coastal bathing beach, and boasts 520,000 acres of tidal flats stretching as far as the eye can see. It is a beautifully preserved ecological destination.

The rugged coastline, dotted with jagged reefs and serrated bays, experiences the endless rhythm of tides, offering a unique charm of nature. The expansive 520,000-acre tidal flats are vast and boundless, providing a sense of tranquility and openness. Stroll across the tidal flats, walk on the sand, collect shells, pitch tents, light bonfires, enjoy seafood, admire the moon, and celebrate all night long on the golden beach full of fun. Watch the sunrise in the morning, feeling the warmth and vibrancy of nature. Take a walk along the ocean-view hiking trail, and you’ll be treated to sweeping views of natural wonders such as the towering cliffs of Tianmen Peak, the flowery patterns of rhyolite, the bottomless Sea God Cave (also known as Dragon Maiden Cave), Immortal Character Rock, Toad Gate, Dragon King Cave, Wishful Rock, Crocodile Stone, Exquisite Stone, and Spherical Bubble Rock, along with volcanic geological formations dating back 80 million years.

The scenic area offers well-equipped facilities including holiday resorts, cozy love cabins, conference rooms of various sizes, a KTV hall, amusement park, parking lots, and more.
