The 2015 Shanghai Citizens' Sports Games and the Skoda HEROS China Cycling Series – Round Shanghai – Lingang New City Station were held
The 2015 Shanghai Citizens' Sports Games and the Skoda HEROS China Cycling Series – Round Shanghai – Lingang New City Station, jointly organized by the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, Shanghai Sports Federation, Shanghai Cycling Association, and Shanghai Sports Development Foundation, concluded on April 25th by the beautiful Dishui Lake. The "Spring Fun at Dishui Lake" themed cycling event and the "Kids on the Move, Family Cycling Day" series of family-friendly activities were also held by the lake, providing outdoor sports enthusiasts with a great weekend destination. This stop was also the second leg of this year's Round Shanghai Cycling Series, attracting nearly 500 elite domestic and international teams and riders to compete, as well as over 200 outdoor sports enthusiasts to participate in on-site activities. The exciting races and events drew many citizens to come and watch.
Teams Display Seamless Coordination as Jersey Battles Heat Up
Compared to the previous stop, the 2015 Skoda HEROS China Cycling Series – Round Shanghai – Jiading New City Station, the Lingang New City Station featured a mainly straight and U-turn course with relatively open and flat roads, intensifying the thrilling sprints among competitors. Especially notable were the two 180-degree hairpin turns that riders encountered during each race, making these corner battles some of the most exciting highlights of the event.
After a day of fierce competition, winners in all categories were crowned. In addition to generous prize money, each category also featured custom-designed jerseys sponsored by professional cycling gear brand Sedna, created exclusively for this event. Following the last stop, the point gaps between teams and riders were not wide, but after this round of racing, the overall points rankings for each category were finalized, and the colorful jerseys found new owners.
