Xiawan Three-Section House

The Xiawan Three-Section House is a cultural heritage protection unit in Linhai City.

The Xiawan Three-Section House is located at the southern entrance of Xiawan Village, Hetou Town, Linhai City. This three-section house was originally an old residence of the Ye family, built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Although called a "three-section" house, it actually consists of three independent courtyard homes. In December 2003, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

The first section has a side-facing gate opening to the east, with a flush-gable roof and a post-and-lintel structure, covering a construction area of 2,232 square meters. The second section's gate is located in the central bay of the connecting hallway, which has a five-bay plan, a flush-gable roof, and a raised-beam structure. Part of it was destroyed by fire in the past but has since been rebuilt. The third section is a three-courtyard complex, with the main hall featuring a flush-gable roof and a raised-beam structure. It has a seven-bay plan, with an overall width of 26 meters and a depth of 9.4 meters, covering a construction area of 488.8 square meters.
