HuaiBei Ski Resort is a year-round tourist and leisure sports destination that combines skiing, dining, sightseeing, and accommodation. It is located within the JiuguKou Natural Scenic Area, 18 kilometers north of Huairou District and 5 kilometers north of Yanqi Lake. Nestled against mountains and water, encircled by the Great Wall, this renowned Huairou attraction blends natural scenery with cultural heritage. The Ming Dynasty Great Wall winds along the mountains and connects seamlessly with the famous “Mutianyu” section. Among its unique features is the distinctive “JiaBianLou” watchtower, an extraordinary landmark along the Great Wall. Beijing HuaiBei International Ski Resort boasts a 3,800-meter ski slope with a vertical drop of 238 meters, consisting of 2 advanced runs, 1 intermediate run, and 4 beginner runs. It is the longest and largest international ski resort in the Beijing area. In addition to skiing, the resort offers a variety of recreational activities such as snow tubing, snowmobiling, snow archery, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and ice climbing. The resort has also upgraded its tubing and snowmobile runs, added a new ice climbing area, and caters to skiers of all skill levels and ages. It features a 1,200-meter sightseeing cable car and 6 tow ropes. The resort’s modern architectural complex integrates facilities including a ski equipment shop, restaurants, and guest rooms (snow-view villas), providing high-quality and convenient services. Its Chinese and Western fast-food outlets can accommodate up to 500 diners at once. The resort is open annually from late November to early March. Additionally, over 20 professional ski instructors are available to help guests make the most of their experience, ensuring they leave with unforgettable memories.

During the skiing season, the resort accumulates snow up to 1 meter deep. HuaiBei Town: Located at the junction of the mountainous and plains areas in the northern part of Huairou District, HuaiBei Town is 8.5 kilometers from the urban center. Covering a total area of 104.72 square kilometers, the town is 78.3% mountainous and 21.7% plains and hills. It consists of 10 administrative villages with a total population of 12,000.
