Dongmaowan Village

Dongmaowan Village is located on the southern bank of the Bai River, 3 kilometers southwest of Tanghekou Central Town in Huairou District, adjacent to the Luan-Chi Road. The village is backed by mountains to the south and surrounded by water on the other three sides. Thirty kilometers west of Dongmaowan Village lies the Dishiguhu and Wulong Gorge tourist area; 35 kilometers north is the Labaogoumen Primitive Secondary Forest tourist area. The village has a total of 239 households and 728 residents, covering a total area of 7,500 mu, with a village area of 150 mu, 1,500 mu of orchard plantings, and 300 mu of American ginseng cultivation. The village is 20 kilometers west of Dishihutu Lake, 40 kilometers north of the Labaogoumen Primitive Secondary Forest, and 100 kilometers from Bashang Grassland.

Dongmaowan Village has developed distinctive zones including a chestnut area, a jujube area, a peach area, an exotic fruit area, an exotic plant area, an aquaculture and viewing area, and a leisure and entertainment area. In the southern part of the village, there are also planting areas for American ginseng, seeds, medicinal herbs, vegetables, and seedlings, among which the 200-mu American ginseng plantation is the most notable. The village has set up a tourism reception center and a 2,000-square-meter parking lot. It hosts 25 municipal-level folk custom guesthouses and 50 district-level folk custom guesthouses, capable of accommodating over 200 tourists at the same time, and offers a variety of recreational activities such as rafting on Daqu Canal and fruit picking in the orchards.
