Sanduhe is located upstream of the Huairou Reservoir, in the piedmont warm zone of the ecological conservation area, with an average annual temperature of 10–12°C. The area boasts dense vegetation, abundant water sources, and a moist climate. The high-quality fruits from the thousand-mu picking garden in Sanduhe Village benefit greatly from these conditions.

Sanduhe Village is situated along the Mutianyu Highway in Huairou District and is the first stop on the “Night Bohai” green ecological dining corridor. It is 8 kilometers from downtown Huairou and a must-pass destination on the way to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Surrounded by mountains on all sides and with the Huaisha River flowing gently through the village, it is an ideal spot for friends to travel, relax, and enjoy leisure time.

Sanduhe Village was established during the Ming Dynasty, and most of its residents are surnamed Cao. Having endured the trials of the War of Resistance against Japan in northern Beijing, it has left behind numerous beautiful legends and stories. The village enjoys a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. In 2006, it was listed as a municipal-level pilot village for new rural construction. While increasing chestnut production, the village has also vigorously developed secondary and tertiary industries. It has now built the “Thousand-Mu Picking Garden” in Sanduhe, with a total of 11 sightseeing and picking gardens open to visitors. All produce is organic and green, available for picking year-round. Leveraging the development of the “Night Bohai” green ecological dining initiative, the village now has over 10 open dining spots and folk tourism households, forming an integrated experience that includes travel, sightseeing, picking, barbecuing, dining, and lodging.
