Xingmei Town, formerly known as Feiteng Film and Television City, is the largest film and television production base in northern China. Over 100 TV dramas and films have been shot here, including "Palace," "The Dye House," "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber," "Funny Face Ji Xiaolan," "Kangxi Dynasty," and "Granary under Heaven." The outdoor sets, mainly designed in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, include Ming and Qing streetscapes, picturesque southern Chinese landscapes, pavilions, and towers—all exquisitely recreated. Visitors can explore classic scenes from well-known films and TV shows, learn about the production processes and secrets behind them, and enjoy a mix of reality and fiction that brings unique entertainment.

You might even have the chance to bump into familiar stars from movies and TV series and witness “real-life” film shoots. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can dress up in Ming or Qing dynasty costumes and take on the roles of emperors, generals, or officials at the nation’s only full-scale replica of the “Hall of Supreme Harmony” filming set. Or act out a scene where Ji Xiaolan scolds Heshen in the street. You could also don warrior armor and a sword, gallop across the horse ranch, and experience the drama of battle. Or wear elegant attire and stroll through the imperial garden as a talented scholar or beautiful maiden. With professional camera crews, makeup artists, and props, you’ll enjoy an extraordinary experience.
