Zhangling Park is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zhangling Park, commonly known as Zhangling Mountain, is located 1.5 kilometers southwest of the town. It is said to be the tomb of Zhang Cang, the Han Dynasty Chancellor. Although no tomb of Zhang Cang has been discovered on Zhangling Mountain, many cultural relics have been unearthed.

Heading south along Fucheng North Road to Dongzhuangbang, you will see a prominent earthen mound — that is Zhangling Mountain, situated right in the center of Zhangling Park.

Zhangling Park also features attractions such as the Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars Palace, Fishing Pond, Western Hall, and a Children’s Animal Park for visitors to enjoy.

The park’s main gate faces south, with a double-eaved roof and upturned corners, and a pair of stone lions stand guard at the entrance. To the east stands a former cultural relic protection marker inscribed “Zhangling Mountain Site.”

Entering through the round archway and following the path leads up the hill. To the west of the park is the Fishing Pond. To the north is the Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars Palace, with the Children’s Animal Park to its east and the City God Temple to its west. The entire park features open terrain with hills and ponds, covered in lush grass and trees, making it an ideal leisure destination for holidays.

The origin of the name Zhangling Mountain, according to *Wu County Fuli Annals*, is related to Zhang Cang, the Chancellor of the Western Han Dynasty. Zhang Cang was from Yangwu County in Henan. Originally a censor in the Qin Dynasty, he later defected to the Han. In the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu of Han (202 BC), he was granted the title of Marquis of Beiping for his role in suppressing the rebellion of Zangtu, the King of Yan. In the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Wen of Han (176 BC), after the death of Chancellor Guan Ying, he ascended to the position of Chancellor. He retired 14 years later due to illness. He was buried in Zhanglin, which later became mispronounced as Zhangling.

Precious relics unearthed from Zhangling Mountain are housed in the Nanjing Museum.

Zhang Cang (253–152 BC), from Yangwu (now southeast of Yangwu County in Henan), was a scientist, Confucian scholar, and Yin-Yang master during the Warring States, Qin, and Han periods. He was a founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty, serving as Chancellor and Marquis of Beiping Wen.

In his youth, Zhang Cang studied under the Confucian master Xunzi of the Warring States period, learning the *Zuo Zhuan*. Later, he served in the Qin Dynasty as a censor, in charge of managing maps and official documents (referred to as “pillar historian” because he stood beneath the palace pillars). He later offended the Second Emperor of Qin with his candid speech, fled back to his hometown of Yangwu to avoid punishment. Soon after, when Liu Bang’s forces passed through Wuyang, Zhang Cang joined Liu Bang. During the attack on Nanyang, Zhang Cang committed an offense warranting execution, but was spared by Wang Ling… More details about Zhang Cang ++
