The Nanjing Dadunzi Ancient Cultural Site is a typical platform-shaped site, standing 15 meters high and covering an area of 8,000 square meters. It is a Shang and Zhou dynasty ancient cultural site located in Yangshan Village, 2.5 kilometers northeast of Chengqiao Town, Luhe County. It lies 9 kilometers from the county seat of Luhe.

In August 1984, the Nanjing Museum, the Luhe Cultural Committee, and the Department of Geology at Nanjing University jointly investigated Dadunzi and collected a large number of stone tools, pottery shards, and seashells, among other artifacts. These were verified to be from the Shang and Zhou periods, making it an important ancient cultural site within the Chu River water system.

In October 1992, with approval from the National Cultural Heritage Administration, the Nanjing Museum set up eight 5x5-meter archaeological test pits covering an area of 200 square meters at Dadunzi, and carried out a three-month trial excavation. A large quantity of jade artifacts, cong, stone adzes, stone axes, stone chisels, stone arrowheads, as well as pottery items such as fishing net weights and jars were unearthed. Other finds included needles, awls, arrowheads, tortoise shells, bone carvings, bird-shaped totems, and approximately 1,500 various pottery shards— all valuable cultural relics.

On December 24, 1992, a team of experts from the National Cultural Heritage Administration, led by Zhang Zhongpei, visited the Dadunzi site specifically for inspection and guidance. They concluded that the Dadunzi site is an important ancient cultural site in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with significant archaeological excavation and research value.

Chengqiao Subdistrict: Originally established as Chengqiao Commune in 1970, it was reorganized as Chengqiao Township in 1983, upgraded to a town in 1992, and merged with the former Zhucheng Township in March 2000 to form the new Chengqiao Subdistrict.

Chengqiao Subdistrict is located in the northern suburbs of Nanjing, adjacent to the western part of Luhe. The subdistrict covers an area of 115 square kilometers, with a population of 48,000, and governs 18 administrative villages and 3 residential committees (communities).

Chengqiao Subdistrict enjoys a superior geographical location and convenient transportation.
