Xiongzhou Subdistrict: In March 2000, the former Liucheng Town, Lingyan Town, and Longchi Township of Luhe County were merged to form Xiongzhou Town. The town covers an area of 112.3 square kilometers, governs 25 administrative villages and 10 community residents' committees, with a population of 138,000. It is the location of the newly established Luhe District Committee and District Government.

Xiongzhou Subdistrict enjoys a superior geographical location. To the east is Yizheng Chemical Fiber, to the south are large state-owned enterprises such as Yangzi Ethylene, Nangang, and Nanhua, and it neighbors the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. It is one of the central development zones of Nanjing in the north of the Yangtze River, just a half-hour drive from the city center.
