The Songhua River Stele Forest Characteristic Park was established on May 1, 2004, covering a total area of 200,000 square meters with a total project investment of 62 million yuan. It is a cultural landscape that integrates antique architecture, calligraphic stone carvings, and ecological gardens, dedicated to celebrating the Songhua River, praising the Beidahuang region, and showcasing the pioneering spirit and pursuit of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature by the people of Fujin. In 2004, the park completed trademark registration with the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, becoming China's third calligraphic stele forest named after a river—following the Yellow River Stele Forest and the Liao River Stele Forest—and the only one along the Songhua River that embodies the cultural characteristics of the river. In 2007, the Songhua River Stele Forest was rated as a National AAA-level Characteristic Park.
