At that time, the chanting site was located on the west side of North 1st Street in the former Zhaodong Town and was named Zhaodong City Jingjiao Temple. Venerable Shiguang (secular name Zeng Xianzhi) served as the supervisor, and Venerable Jueming (secular name Zhang…) served as an administrator, along with other resident nuns who had taken full monastic vows: Fayuan, Fayong, Fajie, and Fahui. The chanting site had six resident nuns in total. After the passing of Venerable Shiguang, Venerable Jueming became the supervisor. Because the original chanting site only had two brick rooms and a small courtyard and could not accommodate the worshippers attending Buddhist events, a new temple was later built in front of the Zhaodong Town Animal Husbandry Farm.
