Lan Nong Alley, also known as Princess of the Miao King Alley, is named after Lan Nong, a descendant of the Lan family, who were the chiefs of the Miao people in Yunnan. In this short alley, the houses are clean and elegant, featuring both European-style and modern elements. Lan Nong was the secretary and second wife of Sun Ke, son of Sun Yat-sen. She lived in Building 1 of the alley from 1940 to 1962, while her parents and siblings resided in Building 5. In 1990, Lan Nong returned to the alley and lived in Building 2.
