The Shanghai Normal University Biological Specimen Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Biological Specimen Room of Shanghai Normal University serves as a teaching and research base for the Biology Department of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences. It currently has over 300 square meters of enclosed exhibition space, featuring a Vertebrate Exhibition Room, an Insect Exhibition Room, a Human Anatomy Exhibition Room, and a Plant Exhibition Room. There are also open exhibition areas such as the Systematic Evolution Exhibition Zone and the Plant Bonsai Exhibition Zone.

The exhibition hall houses over 100,000 specimens of various animals and plants. Among them, there are more than 3,000 species of vertebrate specimens, including national treasures such as the giant panda and the golden snub-nosed monkey, the "king of the forest" Siberian tiger, and the "king of the grassland" African lion, among other rare animals. The Insect Exhibition Room, which houses over 100,000 specimens from across the country, includes more than 800 species of butterflies, showcasing a dazzling array of colors and forms, many of which are rare domestic varieties. The Human Anatomy Exhibition Room displays the mysteries of the human body, as well as the formation and development process of fetuses, through various specimens and models.
