Lan Nong Alley, also known as Princess of the Miao King Alley, is named after Lan Nong, a descendant of the Lan family, who were the chiefs of the Miao people in Yunnan. In this short alley, the houses are clean and elegant, featuring both European-style and modern elements. Lan Nong was the secretary and second wife of Sun Ke, son of Sun Yat-sen. She lived in Building 1 of the alley from 1940 to 1962, while her parents and siblings resided in Building 5. In 1990, Lan Nong returned to the alley and lived in Building 2. It is said that a photo of Lan Nong and Sun Ke still hangs on the center of the east wall in one of the rooms in Building 2. However, the building is not open to the public for visits.
