The 700-meter “Taiwan’s Longest Water Slide” at Nantou’s Xinyi Township’s “I Love Grapes Water Slide Festival,” originally scheduled to be open daily from July 9 to August 21, will now be closed on weekdays due to recent drought and water shortages. It will operate only on Saturdays and Sundays instead, with the event extended to August 27. Visitors can make online reservations or purchase tickets on-site.

On the 9th, TransAsia Airways passed a board resolution to suspend operations of its wholly-owned low-cost subsidiary, V Air (Wei Hang), starting October 1 this year. Chairman Lin Ming-yi stated that in order to accelerate the corporate restructuring of the TransAsia Airways group, merging V Air would effectively deliver integrated synergies.
