Fujian Jiulong River Tourist Bus Accident: Remains of Six Passengers Including Tong A-De Found
Following days of search and rescue efforts after the tour bus accident involving a Five Star Travel mainland China tour group on May 23, the remains of six missing passengers have now been recovered: Tong A-Zhu (46, female), Lai Chen-Yue (61, female), Chen Jun-Yuan (50, male), and Lin Tai-Ping (68, male). According to the Tourism Bureau, one man and one woman were also found in the river today (May 26), identified as Tong A-De (66, male) and Tong Yue-Ying (49, female).

During the Taiwan High-Speed Rail’s Dragon Boat Festival transport period (May 30 to June 3), a total of 91 additional services have been scheduled, bringing the total number of train services to 766. To maximize transport capacity for passengers, the high-speed rail company has decided to add 2 more services (one southbound and one northbound) during peak periods on the evening of Friday, May 30, and the afternoon of Monday, June 2, to alleviate congestion.
