The 2014 Central Taiwan Agricultural Expo also features hot air balloons – Changhua is ready!

The “2014 Central Taiwan Agricultural Expo” will be held starting June 14 at Fetzler Park in Xizhou, Changhua. This exhibition combines a park area, a nursery area, and a forest area, making it the largest flatland park in Taiwan with an area of 123 hectares. It’s a perfect place for the public to visit, relax, and experience the beauty of Taiwanese agriculture. People from across the nation and international friends are welcome to join the “2014 Central Taiwan Agricultural Expo” and explore the beauty of Changhua together.

The agricultural expo, hosted in rotation by the three central Taiwan counties and cities, aims to break administrative boundaries through the expo, bringing together the distinctive and high-quality agriculture of central Taiwan for all to see. Each of the three areas presents its own theme: showcasing Changhua’s fresh and premium produce with flowers, seedlings, and fruits under the theme “Changhua Premium Fresh,” highlighting the region’s pride in tea with “Amazing Nantou,” and featuring Taichung’s water pears and high-end agriculture with “Taichung Agri-Praise.”

The first edition was co-hosted by the Taichung City Government along with the Xinshe Flower Sea Festival and the International Flower Carpet Festival. The second edition was hosted by the Nantou County Government in conjunction with the World Tea Expo in Zhongxing New Village. This year (2014), it’s Changhua County’s turn to host, and it’s combined with the first-ever “2014 Changhua County Hot Air Balloon Carnival.” Visitors attending the expo can take a ride on a hot air balloon to see happiness and feel moved from a different perspective – a truly unique experience.
