The well-known Sanxia Old Street eatery “Jiupinxiang Pig’s Blood Cake” closed at the end of May as owner Mr. Zheng retired to his hometown to be with his parents. To ensure visitors to Sanxia can once again enjoy the delicious pig’s blood cake from Jiupinxiang, current owner Chen Meiling decided to take over the business, reopening in mid-June. She stated her intention to rename it “Sanxia Pig’s Blood Cake,” hoping to establish the snack as a representative delicacy of the area.
