The Penghu Beach Carnival Kicks Off with Spectacular Fireworks

The opening concert of the 2013 Penghu Beach Carnival was held yesterday (the 17th) with great enthusiasm at Aimen Beach. Blessed with clear skies and sunny weather, the event kicked off in high spirits, featuring performances by music poet “Chen f” and the “New Taiwan Aboriginal Band,” who delivered one classic hit after another. The evening culminated in a dazzling 10-minute fireworks show that provided both a visual and auditory feast, marking this year’s Penghu Beach Carnival with a beautiful record.

To promote one of the most beautiful bays, the Penghu County Government chose Aimen Beach as the venue for the opening concert. A large crowd gathered at the event, comfortably seated on the beach to enjoy the brilliant performances by Chen f and the New Taiwan Aboriginal Band. The timeless classics performed had the audience so captivated that they didn’t want to leave, joining in for sing-alongs and even vowing to keep singing until dawn.

The day also featured a romantic surprise when Mr. Huang from Kaohsiung, taking the opportunity of his trip to Penghu, mustered the courage to propose to his longtime girlfriend on stage. With nearly 3,000 to 4,000 audience members as witnesses, the proposal was a success.

In the end, under the lead of music poet Chen f and the New Taiwan Aboriginal Band, a string of popular love ballads filled the air. Chen f’s humorous performance style helped everyone relax, dance, and rock Aimen Beach to the fullest. The grand finale fireworks lit up the sky during Chen f’s performance, creating a romantic and joyful ending to the event as the audience admired the spectacular display accompanied by music.
