Yangcun'ao Site

The Yangcun'ao Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Heping County.

The Yangcun'ao Site is located on the hill behind Lingxia Village, Daba Town, Heping County, also known as Shilinping. It is a remnant from the Zhou Dynasty. Discovered in 1983, it can be divided into two phases. The first phase includes pottery vessels such as jars and bowls, decorated with kui patterns, fine grid patterns, string patterns, and comb-stippled motifs. There are proto-porcelain dishes and tripods. The tripods have double handles, cylindrical feet, and are glazed yellow both inside and out. The belly and base feature fine grid patterns, and a set of carved symbols is visible on the bottom—making these rare artifacts. The second phase includes pottery items like urns and jars, adorned with rice-character motifs. Proto-porcelain pieces consist of bottles, cups, basins, and three-legged boxes. Bronze artifacts such as axes and arrowheads are also found. These may be remnants of burial sites.

In 1986, the Heping County People's Government designated it as a cultural heritage site.

Daba Town: Daba Town is located 8 kilometers north of Heping County. It borders Shangling Town to the north, neighbors Yousheng Town to the east, connects to Yangming Town to the south, and adjoins Reshui Town to the west. Covering an area of 164 square kilometers, the town administers 15 administrative villages and one residents' committee, with a population of 38,000, 95% of whom are engaged in agriculture. In 2005, the total agricultural output value was 97.88 million yuan, marking a 12% increase from 2004. Per capita income rose from 2,423 yuan in 2004 to 2,725 yuan, an increase of 11.1%.
