Longzishan Tomb

The Longzishan Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Heyuan City.

The Longzishan Tomb is located on the eastern slope of Longzishan Mountain in Fengdao Village, approximately 4 kilometers northeast of Yangming Town, Heping County. It was excavated in 1986. The tomb is a long, narrow rectangular vertical earthen pit, measuring 2.8 meters in length, 0.7 to 0.85 meters in width, and with a remaining depth of 0.32 meters. The orientation of the tomb is 281 degrees. Both human remains and burial artifacts have decayed. The funerary objects were mainly placed at the front and rear ends of the tomb pit, totaling 21 items. These include a bronze ding (tripod), ge (dagger-axe), yue (battle-axe), and scraper. The ding is cast with patterns of coiled serpents and circular motifs. Pottery items consist of a jar and a he (wine vessel), with the jar decorated with string patterns, comb-stitched dots, and a combined square grid motif, while the he is adorned with a double-circle pattern and large square grid design. There is also an early-stage porcelain dou (food vessel) covered with yellow-green glaze. Additionally, there is a set of 11 jade hu (earrings) of graduated sizes—the largest has an outer diameter of 6.2 cm, and the smallest, 1.9 cm—all finely polished.

In 1995, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit by the Heyuan Municipal People’s Government.
