The former site of the headquarters of the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla Unit is located in Zhāigōngbèi, Yǒngfēng Village, Qīngzhōu Town, Hépíng County.

In March 1947, the Jiulian Working Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held an expanded meeting and decided to establish the Jiulian guerrilla base area. They organized armed work teams to go deep behind enemy lines and open up new guerrilla zones. Soon after, the headquarters of the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla Unit was established in Zhāigōngbèi, Qīngzhōu. Yán Shàngmín served as the secretary, with Wèi Nánjīn, Zhōng Jùnxián, and Zēng Zhìyún as committee members. It oversaw four sub-working committees: “Liánhé, Hédōng, Hédōng, and Héxī.” After the establishment of the headquarters, the guerrilla unit, together with the people of Qīngzhōu, carried out revolutionary struggles, resisted the Kuomintang’s “mopping-up” campaigns, and made significant contributions to the eventual victory of the revolution.

Zhāigōngbèi was initially built in the early years of the Republic of China. It originally belonged to a local residence of the Lài family, facing south with a northern orientation. The structure has a total width of 66 meters and a depth of 34 meters, covering an area of over 5,000 square meters. It features a five-row layout with two stories. The building is constructed with a combination of brick, wood, and stone, has a flush gable roof, gray tile covering, and clay tile ridges. The walls are made of unburnt mud bricks, the interior walls are coated with lime plaster, while the exterior remains unplastered. The front façade has a row of three doors, with the central one leading to upper, middle, and lower halls. Each of the three halls is connected to the wing rooms via corridor passageways. There is a front courtyard in front of the entrance, with a row of buildings on each side. Currently, some farming households still reside here, and the site is generally well preserved. This historical site also includes two nearby stations: the Liú Residence and the Zhū Residence.

In January 2012, it was included in the Hépíng County Register of Immovable Cultural Relics.
