Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument of Reshui

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument of Reshui is a cultural relic protection unit of Heping County and a classic red tourism site.

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument of Reshui is located on a hill behind the town government of Reshui Town.

In 1963, the Reshui People's Commune built this monument to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs from Reshui who sacrificed their lives during the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War.

The monument is square tower-shaped, constructed of brick and stone, surfaced with lime plaster, and has a pointed top. It measures 1.84 meters on each side and is 9 meters tall. At a height of 2 meters, there is a grey-plastered waist eave, beneath which are granite stone tablets inscribed on all four sides. The south-facing tablet bears the inscription of the monument’s dedication, the west-facing one lists the names of the martyrs, while the east and north sides are left blank. Above the eave, the words “Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument” are embossed in relief on all four sides. The monument is surrounded by an octagonal railing.

In January 2010, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit by the Heping County Government.
