The former site of the traffic station of the Peace People's Volunteer Corps is a cultural relic protection unit of Heping County.

The former site of the traffic station of the Peace People's Volunteer Corps is located in Zengdong Natural Village, Meihua Village, Dongshui Town, Heping County.

In 1947, the Peace People's Volunteer Corps led by Lin Jingqiu persisted in the struggle within Dongshui Town, using the Wu Ancestral Hall as a traffic station to transmit intelligence and revolutionary information. The local people actively cooperated with the corps, with some even assisting in gathering and delivering intelligence, providing significant support. On May 23, 1947, the corps launched frequent attacks, achieving remarkable results. On that day, they raided the Pengzhai and Suohe Township Offices, capturing the township head and the self-defense team leader, seizing over 20 rifles, and distributing over 2,000 dan of grain from broken granaries. On the 24th, they attacked the Dongshui Office, where Patrol Officer Liu Jin defected. They then moved on to Linzhai, capturing the Linzhai township head and six others, seizing a total of nine rifles, and distributing over 200 dan of grain from broken granaries. On the 30th, the corps entered Gongbai Township, causing the joint defense team to flee upon hearing of their approach. Afterward, they advanced into Hexi to assist local armed forces in Sanhe, Shangwan, Chuantang of the former Heyuan County, and Dahu in Lianping County in combating the enemy.

This site is the Wu Ancestral Hall, originally built during the Ming Dynasty. It faces south and is constructed with brick, wood, and stone, featuring a brick wall and a flush gable roof. The layout consists of three sections and three bays, with a width of three bays spanning 25 meters and a depth of two bays plus two courtyards totaling 50 meters. The central section includes upper, middle, and lower halls, flanked by side rooms. It was burned down by the Kuomintang in 1947, later rebuilt, and underwent another renovation in 2003.

In December 1983, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit by the Heping County Government.
