Former Site of the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla Communication and Intelligence Station

The former site of the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla Communication and Intelligence Station is located at Zhulinju in Hedongwei, Yongfeng Village, Qingzhou Town, Heping County.

In March 1947, the Jiulian Working Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held an expanded meeting, during which it was decided to establish the Jiulian guerrilla base area and organize armed work teams to venture behind enemy lines and open up new guerrilla zones. Subsequently, the headquarters of the Jiulian Mountain Guerrilla was established in Zhagongbei, Qingzhou. Based on the needs of the situation, the headquarters decided to set up a communication and intelligence station at Zhulinju in Qingzhou to handle message delivery and intelligence transmission. It was also here that the People's Newspaper was founded to promote the revolutionary cause.

Zhulinju is an ancestral hall of the Liu family, with an unknown construction date. It has a total width of 29 meters, a total depth of 18 meters, and covers an area of over 1,000 square meters. The structure is made of earth, wood, bricks, and tiles, featuring a flush gable roof, with the wing rooms having hip-and-gable roofs. The roof is covered with gray tiles, with ridge tiles stacked to form the ridgeline. The walls are made of mud bricks, coated with lime plaster on the surface. The front features a row of three doors, with the central main door being recessed. The center connects the upper and lower sections, and there is a courtyard between the two halls. There are corridors and side rooms on both sides, and the halls have passageways leading to the wing rooms. There is a spacious front courtyard in front of the building. It was renovated in 1980 and is generally well preserved.

In January 2012, it was included in the Heping County Register of Immovable Cultural Relics.
