The First Arrival Site of the Third Detachment of the Dongjiang Column in the Jiulian Mountains is located at the home of Pei Dafuo, a local peasant association cadre, in Xindong Village, Reshui Town, Heping County.

After the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan, the Kuomintang authorities attempted to launch a civil war and attack the liberated areas. On October 3, 1945, the Third Detachment of the Dongjiang Column set out from Zhenlong, Huiyang County, and arrived in Hejiatian, Boluo County on October 21. They then advanced toward Heyuan along the northeastern part of Boluo County. To avoid direct confrontation with the enemy, the troops traveled by day in hiding and by night on the move. After a long trek of over 300 kilometers and several fierce battles, the Third Detachment finally broke through the enemy's encirclement and interception, arriving at the foot of the Jiulian Mountains—Xindong Village, Reshui Town, Heping County—on the early morning of November 1. They were stationed at the home of Pei Dafuo (a key member of the peasant association). The troops rested in Xindong for one day and moved to Yezhuwo the next day.

The Pei family house was originally built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 350 square meters, with a structure of earth, wood, brick, and tile. Due to lack of occupancy and poor maintenance, it has become a dilapidated building.

In January 2012, it was included in the Heping County Inventory of Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites.
