Huang Huaming's Activity Base

Huang Huaming's Activity Base is located at Cenggang Central Primary School in Cenggang Village, Shangling Town, Heping County.

From spring 1942 to summer 1944, Huang Huaming (also known as Huang Daoguan), then Secretary of the Daba District Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, taught at this school. Under the cover of his teaching position, he actively organized teachers and students to carry out anti-Japanese salvation propaganda, mobilized local residents to resist taxes and levies, and utilized the legal status of the "Industrial Cooperatives" to establish night schools for farmers. There, he vigorously promoted the Party’s principles and engaged in head-on struggles against the Kuomintang reactionaries, making significant contributions to the revolution.

The school was first built in 1941, covering a total area of over 9,700 square meters. It features a brick, wood, and stone structure with a flush gable roof, tiled ridges, mud-brick walls, and plastered lime murals. The back of the building is against a mountain, while the front opens onto a large playground.

In January 2012, it was included in the Heping County Inventory of Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites.
