The former site of the Siliang Middle School Party Branch of the CPC is a patriotic education base.

The former site of the Siliang Middle School Party Branch of the CPC is located at Huangtuling in Pengzhong Village, Pengzhai Town, Heping County — now part of Siliang Middle School.

After its establishment, Siliang Middle School set up a party cell in 1940. In July 1941, the General Party Branch of Siliang Middle School of the CPC was founded, comprising two sub-branches and a total of 39 Party members, with Liu Qi as the secretary. Following its establishment, the Party branch actively carried out revolutionary activities and trained a large number of talents for the Party.

The school was founded in the spring of 1940 under the original name Siyue Lianli Middle School. The location of the Siliang Middle School Party Branch was originally a brick-and-tile house situated north of Tongmao Room on campus, covering an area of about 30 square meters. Due to the need for dangerous building renovation under the “Pujiu Project” and the construction for applying as a “Guangdong Provincial Standardized School,” these tile-roofed houses were all demolished. Now, a marble monument stands at the original site, inscribed with “Former Site of the Siliang Middle School Party Branch,” accompanied by images and an introduction, for visitors to view and commemorate.

In January 2002, it was designated as a Patriotic Education Base and Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Heping County Committee and County Government. In October 2006, it was recognized as a Patriotic Education Base by the Heyuan Municipal Committee and Municipal Government.
