Former Site of the Daba District Committee of the Communist Party of China in Heping County

The former site of the Heping County Committee of the Communist Party of China (Daba) is located at Daba Central Primary School in Gaofa Village, Daba Town, Heping County.

In the spring of 1939, after the establishment of the Heping County Working Committee of the Communist Party of China, Zeng Yuan was assigned to carry out party-building work in the Daba area. Zeng Yuan successively recruited teachers You Shufen and Qiu Hanrong, as well as progressive youths Wang Yanchi and Cao Guangsheng, to join the Party organization, and established the Daba Primary School Branch of the Communist Party of China, with Zeng Yuan also serving as the branch secretary. In July 1941, Huang Huaming was transferred back to teach at Daba Primary School. In August, with the approval of the Heping County Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Daba District Committee of the Communist Party of China in Heping County was established, with Huang Huaming as the secretary. During the time when Zeng Yuan served as the county party secretary and Zheng Qun as the head of the county party propaganda department, they were stationed at Daba Central Primary School for extended periods, which also served as the location of the county party committee headquarters.

In January 2012, it was included in the list of immovable cultural heritage sites protected by Heping County.
