Fugian Building

Fugian Building is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

Fugian Building is located in Xingjing Village, Linzhai Town, Heping County, Heyuan City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Chen Ruishan, the third wealthy gentry of the Linzhai Chen clan and a symbol of the Five Blessings and Longevity, built this residence known as the New Building Doctor’s Mansion, also referred to as Fugian Building. It is said that the building enjoys excellent feng shui, bringing both wealth and numerous descendants, nurturing many talented individuals who contributed to the prosperity and stability of the nation, ensuring its enduring legacy.

On April 19, 2019, Fugian Building was announced as part of the ninth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Xingjing Village: The ancient village of Xingjing Village belongs to Linzhai Town, Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is a typical Hakka landlord residence, with “Qianguang Building,” “Yingchuan Old House,” and “Zhongxian Mansion” being the most representative.

In September 2006, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit by Heyuan City; on September 23, 2008, it was listed as one of the first 27 ancient villages in Guangdong Province by the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Folk Artists Association. In January 2009, it was officially awarded the title of “Guangdong Ancient Village.”
