The National Museum of the History of Ukraine was established in 1944 and presents the history of Ukraine from ancient times to the present. It is one of the most visited museums in Ukraine. The building housing the museum was constructed between 1937 and 1939 and was originally used as a music conservatory before being repurposed as a museum in 1944.
