Last updated 2026-09-24 — In the past, dining at a five-star hotel buffet often meant spending over a thousand NT dollars. It’s rare to find one under a thousand that still offers such a wide variety of delicious food. This time, the “Lecook Buffet Restaurant” at Taipei Fullon Hotel has launched an “Eight-Nation Alliance” of international cuisines. In addition to that, there’s also a refined and abundant selection of buffet items to enjoy. That day, I not only took tons of photos but also ate so many tasty dishes!

In the past, dining at a five-star hotel buffet often meant spending over a thousand NT dollars. It’s rare to find one under a thousand that still offers such a wide variety of delicious food. This time,Taipei Fullon Hotel’s “Lecook Buffet Restaurant” has launched an “Eight-Nation Alliance” of international cuisines– featuring dishes from eight different countries, such as Beef Wellington, Kiev Fried Chicken, German Pork Knuckle, French Escargot, BBQ Pork Ribs, Sashimi & Japanese Set, Italian Osso Buco, and more. In addition to that, there’s also a refined and abundant selection of buffet items to enjoy. That day, I not only took tons of photos but also ate so many tasty dishes!

Taipei Fullon Hotel is located on Section 1, Datong Road, Xizhi District, right next to the Nangang Exhibition Center. Its location is near the Xizhi COSTCO. In other words, just take a bus for about two stops from the Nangang Exhibition Center MRT Station, and you’ll arrive. The transportation is quite convenient. For those in Greater Taipei looking for a good hotel buffet, this is the place to go!

The buffet features diverse and varied dishes, which always include cold seafood platters, fried items, and hot dishes. The ingredients are always fresh, but if there are any special offerings, they can be especially memorable.

▲ A sweet-and-sour, refreshing seaweed salad that’s very popular with young working women.

In the cold appetizer section, the most recommended item is the seaweed salad in the bottom right corner. The ladies I was dining with kept recommending it, saying you can’t find it at other hotel buffets.

▲ A variety of cheese and dairy platters, paired with small cookies, and also featuring nuts like sunflower seeds, peanuts, and pumpkin seeds to enjoy together.

In a buffet, fresh seafood is a must. Taipei Fullon Hotel also offers delicious blue crabs for everyone to enjoy. The crab meat is sweet and tender without being tough. I think at a price of 750 NT plus a 10% service charge, it’s really worth it.

▲ This section features over 20 blue crabs, along with blanched squid and shrimp – all with firm, fresh textures.

▲ The seafood section also includes shellfish and other types of seafood.

The blue crab meat is plump and juicy, and the squid and shrimp, along with the shellfish, are perfectly blanched – tender without being overcooked, and not at all heavy to eat.

▲ Smoked salmon paired with capers makes for a great appetizer to whet your appetite. On the other side, there’s a variety of salads.

▲ Fresh raw slices of salmon, sea bream, and herring.

During the meal, this section was quite popular, but the staff were quick to replenish the items, so you don’t have to worry about anything running out.

▲ The Japanese cuisine section not only offers California rolls but also nigiri sushi, which are very popular and quickly disappear.

Just watching the staff restock the nigiri sushi section, they did it twice – it’s very popular with the young working women. There are also Japanese soy sauce, wasabi, and pepper seasonings available for you to adjust to your taste.

The hot dishes section is also diverse, featuring flavorful yogurt-braised chicken, spiced lamb shoulder, German pork knuckle, American-style BBQ pork ribs, and more – all unique to this buffet. The yogurt-braised chicken has tender meat, with black olives added for flavor. The chicken absorbs rich creaminess, making it a favorite among women. The spiced lamb shoulder has meat that’s just right, served atop diced potatoes, with each lamb chop coated in thick spices. When you bite into it, you can see the pink center. The German pork knuckle has a Q-tender texture, not greasy or dry, and pairs well with the pickled vegetables and mustard sauce to cut through the richness. For the BBQ pork ribs, it’s recommended to eat them with the purple onions underneath – the meat is rich and flavorful, and it’s been braised with pineapple, giving it a slight tropical taste.

The fried food section offers Russian anchovies, crispy taro sticks, and other snacks. There’s also the ever-popular tempura shrimp.

The fried food section also offers Kiev Fried Chicken. The outer layer is crispy, the meat is tender, and it seems to be marinated – served with fried basil leaves.

Additionally, there’s a standout dish at Lecook – Austrian Grilled Fish, a sea bream preparation weighing 9.5 kilograms. It’s the signature dish of Chef Li Siming, made using his exclusive innovative technique. The sea bream is marinated overnight, then roasted at 180°C for two hours. It’s boneless and easy to eat, with rich, firm meat. It’s seasoned with dill, star anise, bay leaves, rosemary, Hungarian paprika, and premium olive oil, creating a rich aroma and layered flavors. It’s paired with the chef’s special “Pineapple Salsa,” made with local pineapple, onions, and cilantro – a refreshing condiment that aids digestion and cuts through richness.

▲In one corner of the dining hall, chefs are also on-site preparing the succulent and delicious Austrian grilled barramundi, a massive 9.5-kilogram barramundi.

The variety of ingredients offered at Le Chef Buffet is truly impressive. The dessert section also features exquisite sweets, and the freezer offers caramel pudding, milk almond jelly, sweet potato tarts—all neatly arranged like battleships, waiting for guests to enjoy. Another highlight worth mentioning is the presence of raw chocolate, which you won’t find in other hotels. The raw chocolate is bittersweet, melts in your mouth, and is a must-try for raw chocolate lovers. The apple pie is also highly recommended—its thin, crispy crust is flavorful, slightly tangy but not overly sweet. But don’t eat too much, or you might not have room for the other delicacies.

▲On the day of our visit, there were also adorable servers dressed as beauties from various countries attending to guests, with imported beers on the tables.
