The first direct flight route connecting Taiwan and the Middle East, Taipei–Dubai, operated by Emirates Airlines, has officially launched. Starting today, travelers from Taipei can fly directly to Dubai in approximately 8 hours, and also use Dubai as a hub to reach 70 countries across the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Additionally, Emirates is offering special ticket promotions: round-trip economy class fares from Taipei to Dubai start from just NT$30,866 including taxes, and round-trip economy class tickets to Madrid, Europe, start from just NT$27,393 including taxes. The discounted tickets must be purchased before February 28 and are valid for travel from February 10 to June 14.

Sheikh Ahmed said: "With Emirates launching daily non-stop flights between Taipei and Dubai, Taiwanese passengers can now connect to 80 countries worldwide via Dubai. It will be more convenient to travel to the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Europe through Dubai. Emirates believes the Taipei–Dubai direct route will help expand the business market and promote tourism in Taiwan."
Emirates operates the Taipei–Dubai route using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The cabin is configured in three classes: First Class features 8 private luxury suites, Business Class offers 42 fully flat seats, and Economy Class provides spacious seating for 304 passengers. Passengers in all classes can enjoy gourmet meals, served by Emirates’ multinational cabin crew. The aircraft is equipped with the ice inflight entertainment system, which has won multiple Skytrax Awards, featuring over 1,600 channels, including the latest blockbuster films with Chinese subtitles, Hollywood movies, music, TV shows, and games.

Emirates, based in Dubai, currently operates flights to 141 destinations across 80 countries. On January 16 of this year, Emirates launched flights to Kyiv. Following the inaugural Taipei flight on February 10, flights to Boston will officially begin on March 10.
