National Aviation Museum of Ukraine

The National Aviation Museum of Ukraine is located in Kyiv, near Zhulyany Airport. Established in 2003, it is the youngest museum in Ukraine and also the largest museum dedicated to the country’s aviation history and technology.

At the time of its founding, the museum housed just 30 aircraft. After more than a decade of development, it now displays around 70 airplanes and helicopters, as well as a variety of anti-aircraft weapons, aircraft, and aviation engines. Its collection includes high-tech planes designed by various Soviet-era design bureaus, such as those by Tupolev, Yakovlev, Ilyushin, Antonov, Sukhoi, Myasishchev, Kamov, and Beriev, in a wide range of types and models. Additionally, there are models of various early 20th-century aircraft.

The National Aviation Museum of Ukraine boasts the world’s most comprehensive collection of aircraft designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich bureau, making it one of Europe’s largest aviation museums and a popular destination among aviation enthusiasts.
